Job Essentials Training (JET) is your number one resource for career support.

Come to a screening to meet with an employment coordinator who will introduce you to the program, listen to your questions, and determine whether this program is the right fit for you. Remote orientations are also available.

JET offers:

Career Counseling— Individual and group model sessions designed to help you prepare for the workplace

  • Interview and resume preparation
  • Career planning and job advancement support
  • Support with navigating online job boards and job application support
  • Referrals to employment opportunities
  • Referrals to training and certifications
  • Skills development

Professional Development— Professional-development opportunities to support your growth and advancement

  • Monthly ‘Hello to Hire’ workshop
  • Networking opportunities
  • Internal job fairs and recruitment events
  • Support with social media and professional communications
  • Referral to CONNECT for mental health services
  • Referral to the Neighborhood Resource Center for benefits assistance

Ages 18 to 24 

On Ramps to Employment (ORO) empowers young adults with the skills and confidence to confidently navigate the job market and secure meaningful employment.

Participants in ORO have access to professional-development opportunities to support their growth and advancement. With targeted training and resources, the program ensures that participants are well prepared to achieve long-term career success.

ORO Provides:

  • Interview & resume workshops
  • GED classes
  • Connections to top employers through introductions and monthly job fairs
  • Training referrals to top employers in key industries
  • Interview clothing support
  • Connections to paid internships
  • Referrals to CONNECT for mental health services
  • Referrals to the Neighborhood Resource Center for benefits assistance
  • College enrollment support

ORO participants can join special quarterly week-long career-prep classes. Each day is tailored to a different workforce-development component to help youth attain successful employment. Participants who complete the class can receive a stipend*
