Running the TCS New York City Marathon

Henry Street was a proud 2016 TCS New York City Marathon official Charity Partner, for the first time in its 123-year history — or the Marathon’s 40-year history! Runners, including Henry Street staff, represented Team Henry on November 6th as they raced across all five boroughs. The team raised a total of more than $20,000 to benefit Henry Street programs.
Before the big day, the Settlement invited Team Henry to a catered dinner in its historic dining room, allowing the runners to load up on carbohydrates! Executive Director David Garza welcomed runners and their families, raising a glass to toast the runners for the hard work they’d already done, both in training for the race and fundraising for the agency.

Henry Street staff members Delia Springstubb and Linda Canchani were joined by supporters Lauren Gatto, Kaitlyn Ford, Cecelia An Zhou, Steph Hollingsworth, Benjamin Berkowitz, Stefana Valentino, and Shalini Jariwala. Congratulations to Team Henry and all of the 50,000 runners who participated in this year’s Marathon!
