Deloitte Fundraiser Benefits Henry Street

More than 80 consultants from Deloitte, a Henry Street Settlement corporate volunteer partner since 2007, gathered at a trendy bar in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, to raise money for Henry Street’s vital programs.
The event raised nearly $4,000, much of it from a silent auction featuring fabulous prizes. Attendees also had an opportunity to learn more about Settlement programs from Executive Director David Garza and Deputy Officer of Development & External Relations Jeremy Reiss.
“It is truly wonderful to have volunteer partners like Deloitte double their impact by not only giving their time and expertise, but by organizing a fundraiser to help financially support our clients as well,” said Garza.
Volunteers are essential to assisting Henry Street serve more than 50,000 individuals each year. Volunteer opportunities range from serving meals to seniors to helping job seekers with their resumes and interviewing skills to enhancing the education of our youth with homework help.
