Boys & Girls Republic (BGR) is a Henry Street Settlement youth community center that has served tens of thousands of Lower East Side young people since the 1930s. Located amid the Jacob Riis and Lillian Wald public housing complexes, it is a refuge, a place of growth, and a symbol of community connectedness.
